Manitoba Pesticides, Solvents & Flammable Liquids

What is ReGeneration’s Manitoba Household Hazardous Waste Program?

Did you know that there’s a solution for your old household hazardous waste products? Indeed, there’s a place where you can drop them off!

Drop-off Product Details:

We accept:

  • Pesticides
  • Toxics
  • Corrosives
  • Flammable Liquids & Waste Gasoline
  • Physically Hazardous (Non-Refillable Fuel Gas Cylinders)

There is no limit to how many products can be dropped off at once.

Check out our accepted products list for more details!

For information about products accepted by other stewardship programs in Manitoba, you can call Green Manitoba at 1-866-460-3118 or visit greenmanitoba.ca and www.recyclemanitoba.ca

But, how much is it to recycle my household hazardous waste products?

It’s completely free!

If you see an “environmental handling fee”, it is NOT a government tax. No part of this fee goes to the government.

It’s important to note that there’s no refund to collect when dropping off your items for recycling.

What does the environmental handling fee pay for?

In case you didn’t know, the environmental handling fee covers all program costs! Collection, transportation, and recycling of your household hazardous waste products are all taken care of. All collected fees fund ReGeneration’s program so Manitoba residents have nothing to worry about.

For more information visit our Environmental Handling Fee page.

I’m curious…how are the household hazardous waste products recycled?

Well, your recycled flammable liquids and gasoline have other uses such as alternative fuel sources.

On the other hand, pesticides don’t have any alternative uses and so the only choice is to incinerate them.
